The first snow came on November 10th which immediately set my mind to "comfort food" and all that supplements that warm fuzzy feeling it brings.

One morning I woke up dreaming of making a pumpkin pinapple cheesecake pie. The idea has stayed with me so I finally tried it. The reality of available ingredients wasn't exactly as I wanted but I think it is close enough . It is the first time that I have made a pie crust with butter intstead of shortening. Totally unhealthy but then so is 'hydrogenated soy and or cottonseed oil'. :op
