Yes, we were freaky but it was fun. When the kids were at the door and I would start to give them candy, dad would come up behind me and try to get the candy bowl and tell me "Don't give them my candy!" in a gravely voice. We had them froze in their boots. One little girl saw the little head on my shoulder and goes "Oh, what happened?" (Such compassion.) We had a blast! I'm already scheming on what to do next year. Maybe a Mother Goose themed scenerio for the real little ones.
